The Chamber of Commerce “After Hours” this month is at the world famous Brookfield Zoo. Light appetizers and drinks will be provided, as well as a brief presentation by the Zoo personnel sharing the Zoo’s mission, plans and accomplishments thus far.

The luncheon will include a presentation on Brookfield Sustainability Plan and Initiatives. Village Trustee Katie Kaluzny and representatives from Brookfield's Conservation Commission will give a presentation on several ongoing sustainability initiatives the village is engaged in. Brookfield has joined several municipalities in the Cross-Community Climate Collaborative (C4) initiative to share ideas and secure support for large-scale cross-community sustainability projects. Additionally, the Conservation Commission is in the process of drafting a Sustainability Plan for the village that will help establish sustainability goals for our community.
